Sean

Some of you know my little brother as this...

...he's the Bachelor on ABC.  But around here, he's just this...

...Uncle Seanie to my two kiddos.

Yes, he's kind of famous.  Yes, he's pretty good looking.  Yes, I lived with him for 18 years.  And no, I will not give you his phone number.

Andrew and I turned in Sean's application to be on the Bachelorette back in September 2011...little did we know the adventure our little action would send Sean on.  He went on to be #3 in Emily's season and get his heart broken on national TV...and then, he went on to be the Bachelor himself.  It's all crazy and weird because he's still just my little brother.  He's the nicest, most sincere, honest person you'll meet.  He has a huge heart for his family, his friends, his two dogs and especially his niece and nephew.  I am so blessed to call him my brother!

Seriously, your brother is my favorite Bachelorette contestant so far. LOVED him on Emily's season, he is a classy guy with integrity. I was SO excited when they announced him as the next Bachelor. I even blogged about it. Ha! Can't wait for January so I can watch it! Praying his season is going well!!!

This weekend my in-laws are arriving, and I intended to spend the day doing housework....ummmm...I discovered your blog and spent the last few hours reading through the last year (in between changing diapers, folding laundry, making supper, etc). I am a married, 35 year old woman with 4 kiddos, and I love Sean. He was so amazing on Emily's season, and I cannot wait for HIS season! I bawled the night he did not get a rose from Emily. Whoever he picks is one lucky girl!!! I am a lucky girl too. My husband has watched every episode with me, and I love him!!! I know the show has finished taping, but I wish Sean and ??? all the best.

SO So sweet! You are blessed to have Sean as much as he is to have you! Such an inspirational, beautiful family you have. I cannot absolutely wait until January to see his amazing love story unfold!

You rock! So glad to see a bachelor actually take some advice from family. Women just know other women so well it has nothing to do with jealousy either, if they can't get along with strangers can you imagine once they are part of the "family"! Shay you are also gorgeous!

When I saw you on the episode on Monday, I thought you looked SO familiar but I guess it's just a Texas thang! lol Your brother seems like such a genuine guy and I'm totally hoping his found his leading lady! I loved seeing your face when Sean came back Tierra-less. Priceless...you looked like you relieved that you weren't going to have to backhand T-girl. I'm sure they made her out to be crazier than she is but...

Hi Shay, I've always been skeptical of this show, but this season feels different. Your brother is so genuine. I admire him. He's the real deal! I wish him well and hope he finds true love. It was also nice to see you on the show. You all seem like a great family. Take care. Beth

Hi Shay!
Thanks to MsEttenna1's upload to YouTube, I can now watch my fave segment. "Sean needs advise from Sister Shay Part 1" Your line...watching this unfold and going NOOOOOOOOOO not that one...had me on the floor, LOL.

Its also funny that the van appeared at just the right time.
I would have enjoyed a "pop" sound just then. I hoped the van was in working order being that close to the ocean and all. While I kinda know there was a driver for Tierra, I was seriously hoping for remote control.

Lesson learned, botted oxygen at the ready, just in case.

Good job, both you and your bro, well done.

A note about the menu's on your blog. Is it just me or is there thankfully no mention of "Lima beans." EEEEUUUU to lima beans, like eating a candle.

So thats two HUGE thank you's.

First of all, I am loving your blog! I've been jumping all over the place copying down recipes. (Now if I could actually go through with cooking them!) You all seem like a lovely family and Sean has been nothing but a perfect gentleman on this season of The Bachelor. I wish him the best of luck! :)

I found that I was thoroughly frustrated with The Bachelor/Bchelorette and was glad that Emily (I thought she was fake) did not pick Sean. I have enjoyed watching his journey and glad to see him happy. He seems so REAL and KIND. Wishing the entire family a fun and wonderful time with Catherine. Blessings to all.

Just read the entire bachelor season recap on your site and I have to say you are just such a lovely person! America was lucky enough to get a glimpse inside your amazing family on the last episode and it's pretty obvious why Sean is the most beloved Bachelor ever. He came from such a loving environment and ya'll should get your own reality show! Catherine will be a great addition to your family. Congrats on being awesome - all of you!

I love how God was present in his decision and how all three, Sean Catherine and Lindsey turned to God for prayer and guidance! This is wonderful, moments of Christianity like this on national television tells me that we have hope that Christianity will prevail! God Bless you all.
