About Me

Hi!  I'm Shay and this is my family blog.

I am a super passionate, very talkative, over-achiever who likes to make every day special with my kiddos.  I drink way too much coffee, watch way too much reality TV, love the Boston Red Sox, put my Christmas decorations up the day after Halloween, can't live without Bath and Body Works and aspire one day to marry Michael Buble (don't worry...my hubby is okay with it!).

I'm a foodie blogger who loves making suppertime simple and creating fun recipes for each season.  I'm all about women enjoying their time in the kitchen and not stressing over complicated recipes with lengthy ingredient lists (because come on...who has time for that?!?!).

I struggled with infertility, did a lot of fertility drugs and then bam!  I had two babies without drugs and without trying...thank you Jesus (times two!).

Now, our family of four is in the process of adopting a sweet little girl (who we've named Ashby London) into our family.  We cannot wait to bring her home and become a family of five.

I love my girl friends...they mean more to me then they will ever know...and I have this awesome family too.  My parents are hysterical, warm, sarcastic and totally the reason I am who I am today...plus, my little brother is kind of famous...so that's weird and fun at the same time.

In a nutshell, I married a hot football player, had two fabulous kids, a dog named Poppy Popsicle and I make my way through each and every day loving the Lord and trying to count my blessings as I also count the number of Cheerios spilled on my floor.  I am Shay.  We should be friends.
XOXO

One more thing...this is my little brother...

...he's the Bachelor on ABC.  But around here, he's just this...

...Uncle Seanie to my two kiddos.

Yes, he's kind of famous.  Yes, he's pretty good looking.  Yes, I lived with him for 18 years.  And no, I will not give you his phone number.

Andrew and I turned in Sean's application to be on the Bachelorette back in September 2011...little did we know the adventure our little action would send Sean on.  He went on to be #3 in Emily's season and get his heart broken on national TV...and then, he went on to be the Bachelor himself.  It's all crazy and weird because he's still just my little brother.  He's the nicest, most sincere, honest person you'll meet.  He has a huge heart for his family, his friends, his two dogs and especially his niece and nephew.  I am so blessed to call him my brother!

First I wanted to tell you that I think you are stunning!! You seem truly beautiful inside as well!! Your blog is super duper cute! And your kids are even more cute!! I love all the things you are passionate about too!! I am married to my high school sweet heart and we just had our 11th wedding anniversary. Every day I feel so blessed to share my life with my hubby!! I have struggled with fertility as well. We tried for 6 1/2 years for our sweet girl, and then we finally had her. she is now 4 1/2, and I try to enjoy every second with her. I think that when mama's take a long time to get preggo that they enjoy their children in a different way. Every day I wake up and I thank jesus for her! She is MY miracle. We have lost 3 babies since then. I am praying that this will be our year and that God will bless us with another baby. Anyways I just wanted to share where I am at. I do have a blog but I don't write on it each day. It is http://ajandamygale.blogspot.com. Thanks for sharing your story and all your cute photos!!

I have to tell you, I can't stop giggling, because I first read your blog about a year ago? But that was before I understood "following" so I had your blog bookmarked to read. Anyways last August I started my own blog and somehow lost track of reading yours. Somewhere in watching last season's Bachelor(sick of hearing that yet? ;) I heard that "Sean's Sister" was a blogger, and looked up your blog. Still didn't follow, just giggled at how small the blog world is.
THIS time, I found you via House of Rose and the Love & Marriage series, and THIS time I'm going to follow. Finally.
And yes, I'm still giggling about how small the blogworld can be.
