#shayeveryday2013 Week 4

Before we get to my Insta-life...the winner from yesterday's $50 Target gift card post is SA from Drawn Inspiration.

Congratulations!  Email me at mixandmatchmama@yahoo.com to claim your prize!

Thank you to everyone else for your fabulous packing tips and tricks!  I've already been to two stores buying supplies to implement many of them!  They were fabulous!!!  Thank you so much!  Don't forget to check out the winner of the other $50 gift card here.

Ok...here we go with Week 4...

Day 22: Maintenance!

Day 23: Sweet Andrew took my car to get the oil changed which meant I was stuck driving this car around all day.  Not cool driving around with your hubby's face on the side of the car! :)

Day 24: Like mother, like daughter.  My sweet girl loves bangles too!

Day 25: He'll always be my baby

Day 26: Heading out to shop with my little fashionista

Day 27: My sunshine

Day 28: I took my sweeties to brunch with Sheaffer and Carter.  And yes, I bribed them with gum to get them to kiss...at some point, that's not going to work any more...

I'm always on Instagram...every day in 2013.

Target Giveaway!

**Contest closed!  Click here to see the winner!**

As many of you know, the Mama and her family will be moving this year.  Twice.  We move within the next couple of weeks to a rental house while we wait for our house to be built.  How does this involve you?  I need packing tips and tricks!  (And I'm willing to bribe you for them!)

For today only, if you leave me a comment below telling me one good packing tip, your name will automatically be entered to win a $50 Target gift card.  Just make sure your name is in the comment along with your tip and that's it!  The contest ends at midnight CST tonight and tomorrow morning, I will randomly pick one comment as the winner (it doesn't have to be the best comment...just one of them!).   Only one entry per person per blog (if you comment on both of my blogs, you could win twice!).

Wait?  Is $50 not enough?  I'm being extra generous today because over at my foodie blog, I'm giving away another $50 Target gift card for the best house building tip (even if you've never built a house, you probably have a suggestion or idea that I might want to use).  Click over there to enter that one...same rules apply.

Best of luck!  And thanks for letting me steal your ideas ;).

Bachelor Episode 4 Recap: Sister & Brother

**Make sure you read the entire post...tomorrow, I'm giving away two $50 gift cards to Target...see below to find out how!**

I'm super, super excited that the Bachelor episodes are about to be on the road!  As much as I love the LA shows, I know that the real fun begins when they travel.   Before we take a look ahead, I thought we could take a look back at Shay and Sean as kiddos...

Me and my little brother...ok, he's two years and 3 weeks younger than me but seriously...he was HUGE!

Christmas morning.  I'm 2 and he's not quite 6 weeks old.

Sweetness if I do say myself :)

I think we both look like Smith in this picture.

Sean was entertaining the ladies in the "hot tub" well before ABC approached him to do the Bachelor ;)

If his Factory Girl business doesn't pan out, I think he has real potential for a railroad engineer.

My mom must have taken all of the pictures when we were growing up because I couldn't find one of her!  However, my dad is lookin' pretty good, right?!

I'm praying Us Weekly picks up this picture.  I know they read the blog...please Us Weekly, publish this photo of Sean as a ghost.  I'm begging you ;)!

Me and my brother...a bond that lasts forever.

Ok...the top FOUR things I loved most about last night's show...
1. Sarah and roller derby...come on...that was heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time.  Sweet girl!
2. Amanda learned the great lesson that pride often comes before the fall.
3. The "chocolate" comment...you thought that was awkward to watch at your house?  Try explaining it to your 4 and 3 year olds!
4. The outtakes at the end!  Andrew and I laughed so hard!

This is the current issue on newsstands of Us Weekly...

And inside are the 25 Things You Don't Know About Sean Lowe...can I just say...we are SO MUCH ALIKE!  Andrew, Mom, Dad and I were laughing at how similar the two of us are (Sean did not consult me before submitting these answers!).  I'm pretty sure I do 24 out of the 25 things on that list.  It's not just the blue eyes and dimples we both share :).

Hungry for more?  Click on my foodie blog and check out a special Valentine's dessert for you and your sweetheart.

Still want more?  Don't forget to check Sheaffer's blog on Wednesday for her always hysterical recap of last night's show.  Click here to see her posts from previous weeks.

Still don't have enough Shay (and Sean) in your life?!?!  Follow me below...it's always food, family, travel and Bachelor in my world.

Smith's Surf Shop: Part 1

On Saturday, we had Smith's Surf Shop at our house.  It was the perfect 3rd birthday party for our little man.  This post has all of the decor, tomorrow's post will have pictures of our guests.  Happy Birthday Smith!

As you know, I do a birthday sign each year for my kiddos, once the party ends, we take the sign off the stick and hang it in their rooms.

Our goody table

The ladies got to leave with Coconut Passion lotion.

And the guys left with colorful popcorn.

Andrea found this sign for me.  It was perfect!

Everyone got a lei to wear when they walked in the door.

Flip Flop lights

Andrea also made the invites, the banner, and the food labels.  Andrea is genius!

Of course we had Hawaiian music!

Delicious cupcakes!  (No, I did not make these!  The mama knows to leave some stuff to the professionals!)

Everyone also left with either swim trunk or surf board cookies.

This is just the decor...actual pictures of people tomorrow :).  If you're wondering if I made the cookies, I did not.  Remember my rules for entertaining?  You should only make 3 things.  Entertaining is about enjoying your guests and relaxing at your own party...not slaving away and missing all the fun to make  everything perfect.   This mama wanted to have a good time at the Surf Shop...and I did :)!
