I've had some major accomplishments in my 29 years...I've completed multiple marathons (that's 26.2 miles baby), starred as Mary in a Christmas musical once where I had to sing a solo while holding a live baby (that cried its head off 3 out of the 5 performances), I was the youngest intern ever at WFAA-TV in Dallas and finished my bachelor's degree in a mere 3 years. However, all of those things pale in comparison to this...
...I am officially a Starbucks Gold Member. I qualified last month but didn't receive my special gold card until today. Tears of joy people!
This was Smith's first Thanksgiving. I am so, so thankful for my two little turkeys :).
On Wednesday night, we spent the night with my mom and dad and pretended to be on vacation. I walked past the family room and saw this sweet picture. Uncle Seanie and Kensington watching Beauty and the Beast together.
My first sweet little turkey.
My second little turkey.
Casey's almost there! Due 1-11-11
Considering my trees have been up since November 17, I wasn't shocked to see my Grandmother's up too. I'm a chip off the old block.
Smith tasting pumpkin cake.
Kensington loving on baby Paisley...we can't wait to meet her!
I love my dad!
Papaw and Kensington looked through her baby book.
Aunt Brooke played lots of dominoes with Kensington on the floor.
Then, they played with K's Barbie dolls.
Brooke was my first baby. Since I'm 7 years older, I've been "mothering" her for a long, long time. It's hard to believe my sweet girl is almost 22! (Side note: when I was 22, I got married and Brooke was my maid of honor...love her.)
She has gotten really good at walking around in my shoes and boots.
Then today, we braved the crazy crowds and went to the Galleria for some shopping.
On Saturday night, we made our annual trip to Southlake to see the town square Christmas lighting and Santa.
"Oh, smile for the camera!"
Smith and his Lovie
It was so festive!!
Sean, Kensington and Ryan (who was wearing a really, really cute top and skirt under that sweatshirt but then she got cold so my dad let her borrow said sweatshirt...she told me to explain this as I was taking this picture. As for coat-less Kensington...she would rather freeze to death than wear ANYTHING over her dress.)
I mean seriously...did God out-do himself with Smith William Shull or what?
And the tree is lit!
Santa came in on his horse drawn carriage, so Uncle Seanie and Kensington went to say hello.
I'm sure the sales people at Eddie Bauer are so tired of Andrew and my dad taking Smith in their store just to put this hat on him. They've done it two weekends in a row.
Today is my little brother's 27th birthday! The best thing this guy ever did was to bring home a buddy named Andrew Shull from college :). For that, I am eternally grateful. Sean Lowe, we love you so much! You know that you are my little girl's absolute favorite person in the world. Have a happy birthday buddy! We love you!
We had his party on Saturday. In these next two pictures, Kensington was giving Uncle Seanie kisses. I was never able to capture the kiss but as you see, I captured how much they love each other.
During the party, Kensington decided she wanted to curl up on Lovie's bed and watch Sleeping Beauty. Instead of hanging out with his party guests, Uncle Sean, went in and watched the movie too :).
I wake up at 5:30 every morning to do some work. Well, this morning, I had my radio on and at exactly 6:00 AM, my station switched to all Christmas music, all the time. I am so stinkin' happy right now :).
Thanks to good old Day Light Savings, my kids are waking up extra early (look at the clock in the background). Yesterday, Kensington was up at 6:15. Since I had some work to do in our study, I told her she could cozy up in our bed and watch some TV.
Mr. Smith woke up without his pants on. Silly boy!
I put his pants back on him and gave him his bottle (he says baba when he sees it).
Then, he had some Nutrigrain bar for breakfast.
It didn't take Kensington long to get all of her Little People out for the day.
Good morning guys!
As usual, we headed off to Stroller Strides (our Baby Boot Camp franchise closed October 31, so my girlfriends and I joined Stroller Strides...same thing).
After working out, we came home and ate lunch.
Right now, this is Kensington's favorite book for us to read. It's about the K-State mascot. Andrew and I read it over and over and over. It's cute because the first line says, "It's a beautiful fall day in Manhattan, Kansas..." and last weekend, when Andrew was in Manhattan, I asked her where daddy was and she said, "it's a beautiful fall day in Manhattan, Kansas"...she kept quoting the book to let me know dad had gone to K-State.
After lunch, we played some more.
I love this moment...both kids sound asleep taking naps. Ahhhh...I read Good Housekeeping :).
After naps, Kensington was helping me unload the dishwasher. She noticed all of the sippy cups I was unloading and said, "I want a picture with my cups. I'll sit right here". Therefore, we have this picture.
After Smith woke up, we went outside to blow some bubbles.
This was part of Smith's dinner, doesn't it sound yummy?!
While I was making our dinner, Kensington got a blue skirt out of my closet and danced around the kitchen.
Where is Smith?
There he is! (His new favorite game...probably did it 20 times right then.)
