2009 in Review

2009 was a crazy fun, super busy, always interesting and most fabulous year of my life!!!! It was my first full year as a mommy and I LOVED EVERY STINKIN' MINUTE OF IT!!! Here is a re-cap...

The three of us set out on a year to remember...we had so much fun! Look at my 3 1/2 month old!

Kensington took her first airplane trip to Kansas City to visit her cousin was also her first real snow!

In March, I had gum graft surgery (yuck!!!) but the month was salvaged with an awesome family trip to Fredericksburg.

Kensington celebrated her first Easter

And then the five of us headed to Hawaii's big island for an AWESOME vacation!!!

We soaked up the sunshine and played outside a lot this month.

Our family of 3 grew to 4 this month...the same day I had my braces put on, we found out we were having another baby...a very, very big day!

We spent most of July by the pool...the best thing to do on a hot Texas day.

Dad and Andrew headed to Bangladesh this heroes!

Then dad and I headed to Boston to see the Red Sox play the much fun!!!!

And this little squirt just kept getting cuter!

My sweet husband took me on a wonderful vacation to Italy and Switzerland...I love this man!

And this little one danced her way to one year old!

Fall was cozy wonderful! The best time of the year!!!

We established our passions this month...Blue, Mickey and Minnie...

We celebrated the holidays to the max and are anxiously running into 2010...with a new baby on the way and some new adventures for us to go on, it's going to be a great year!

Happy New Year!

Then and Now

I have had my coffee with a bowl of dry cereal while watching the news every morning of my life since college. Back then, Kensington would lie on her boppy pillow next to me.

Now, she sits next to me drinking her juice and eating out of my bowl.

Then sitting in her vibrating chair.

Now sitting in it. We had to bring it back down from the attic for the new baby...Kensington hopped right in and has been sitting there daily since.

Then all bundled up for a walk with Mommy.

Now all bundled up for a walk with Mommy.

This next set of pictures is what our guest bedroom looked like prior to December. Back then, it looked like this...

Now, it's Kensington's big girl room!!!

Yes, we have two cribs in our house now :)

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the walls are yellow.

My mom, Andrew and I took the original TV cabinet out to the driveway...we beat it up with a chain, sanded it, painted it and then antiqued it.

Merry, Merry Christmas!

I simply could not have asked for a better Christmas. It was PERFECTION! This year, us Dallas-ites got our first white Christmas in yearssssssssssssssssssssssss! My Mimi who is (cough, cough) 82, says she only remembers having one once in her lifetime when she was a very little it was about time to have another one! The snow began falling on Christmas Eve morning and didn't let up until we went to bed. So much had fallen that it was still white on Christmas day. It was simply magical! We headed to my parents' house on Christmas Eve Eve to spend two nights. We had a blast. Thank you mom and dad for making it so special!

Miss Kensington sporting pig tails for the first time!

So happy to wake up on Christmas Eve!!!

Christmas Eve

She loves her Uncle Seanie!! She has mastered his name by the way and talks about him frequently. She always says "Seanie".

Four generations

Simply perfect!

"I will not pose for another picture despite the fact that it's Christmas morning!"

Finding all the goodies that Santa left out

Chillin' with her Cabbage Patch doll and her new big girl chair

Lots of snow on Christmas morning

Studying her new toy at Mimi and Papa's house

This picture pretty much wraps up our three day Christmas party...this was Kensington on Christmas night at 5:30...dead asleep on the floor at my grandmother's house. We had just too much fun!!!

Last weekend before Christmas

This was our last weekend before Christmas...I'm quite sad. We made the most of it though. Here are just a few pictures...

On Friday night, we ate with the Slaughters in Allen. This is Ebby Lee eyeing Kensington's big girl food.

Daddy and Kensington looking at the reindeer

Tab and I were concerned that this one reindeer was missing an antler or two...

So, this was a picture that my dad snapped last year in Southlake. If you know my dad, you know that he loves a tradition...

So, here we are again...same bench a year later...I told my mom, some traditions aren't worth repeating :)

Merry December 20!
