The Curious Case of Shay Shull

Apparently, I am like Brad Pitt's character in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"...I am going backwards in age. At the beginning of June, I will be getting braces for the SECOND time as an adult AND getting my tonsils taken out. It's a long, long, long story but the bottom line is that I have no choice...I am pretty much repeating puberty but this time, I have an 8 month old. Speaking of that 8 month are some pictures from our walk today.

Worth the wait...

Mother's Day has always been special to me because I have a wonderful mom and two amazing grandmothers, but this year has been the best. My little sweetheart made my first Mother's Day perfect. Waiting to be a mom on Mother's Day was worth the wait...Kensington Kate was worth the wait.

We are on our way to church.
We ate dinner with Papa Jay, Lovie, Aunt BB and Uncle Sean

Me and my mama

Look at those two teeth!

She loves hanging upside down...

Hawaii Baby!

I'm warning you right now, if you don't want to see a million pictures of my family in Hawaii last week...STOP READING RIGHT THIS SECOND!

For the rest of you, we just got back from a week long trip to Hawaii's Big Island, and it was FABULOUS! Andrew, Kensington, mom, dad and I all traveled over for the week. We had never been to the Big Island before, we ususally go to Maui, but the Big Island won us over. About 3 days into it, Andrew said that it was the best vacation we have ever taken, and I really think he was right. Our 7 month old could not have been more perfect. She was absolutely wonderful the entire time. And our resort was AMAZING. We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Resort and it was perfect.

At the airport about to leave

Look at all our luggage!

In her PJs on the 8 hour flight. She only slept about an hour and a half; the rest of the time she was all smiles.

Like father, like daughter

Are we there yet?

Kensington getting her first lei at the airport

9 hours of flying and 2 plane rides later, we make it to the Big Island

Day 1

Yea! We woke up in Hawaii!!!!

We ate a buffet breakfast every morning at our hotel. Yummy!

Yes...those are live dolphins swimming around our resort. If Kensington had been a little bit older, we would have paid for her to swim with them.

Our favorite pool

In swimsuit #1; our first day at the pool

Kensington's first time in the sand

Andrew going down the slide at our pool

Here I come...we must have gone down that thing a million times

The 5 of us eating lunch by the pool and the ocean

napping by the pool

All dressed up and ready for dinner

I do love shoes and boys with tatoos :)

Dining at Tommy Bahama's restaurant

Look at that hair...

Walking back to our room after a long day.

Day 2

The view from mine and Andrew's course and ocean

On our balcony

Swimsuit #2, look at that cute bottom

In the pool

Andrew isn't good at judging the amount of sunscreen he'll need...

Another nap by the pool

Off to another wonderful dinner

Day 2 really wiped her out

Day 3

At breakfast with her boys

Waiting for the rent car with Daddy

Shopping in Kona, Hawaii

Dinner outside at our resort

Kensington loves her Lovie

Day 4

Swimsuit's a tiny, weeny bikini

She loves to sleep by the pool...

Nothing like pineapple in Hawaii

That's Lovie going down the slide!

Taking the hotel shuttle to dinner

Day 5

Swimsuit #4 is hiding under her little dress...she didn't even get to wear swimsuit #5!

Our last and best dinner in was sooooooooo good!

look at that sunset over the ocean

Papa Jay gave her some water...most of it made it to her mouth...

Day 6

Time to leave the hotel and go home...that's her cute pink suitcase in the background

Love him :)

Our little pineapple head

In the shuttle on the way to the airport

This was the best vacation we have been on. Thank you Dad and Andrew for working so hard and taking your girls on this Hawaiian adventure. We love you!!
