I miss my baby!!
Well, this week I had day surgery on my mouth AND pink eye! So needless to say, I am a complete mess. Because of all of this, my sweet baby girl has had to stay at my mom's house. Yesterday, my mom brought her over for a visit. These were the pictures I tried to take of her sitting in my lap. She was just too darn cute for words. She wanted to see the camera for herself, so none of the pictures turned out great...but I don't care. The hour and a half I got to spend with her yesterday was the best part of my week. That is until this afternoon when she comes home to stay!
As for me...I still have stitches in my mouth (across the roof and across the lower gums) and have to wear a plastic shield 24/7 until next Tuesday to protect the stitches. My pink eye is almost completely cleared, and my hubby has been treating me like a princess (bringing me lots of McDonald's chocolate shakes since I'm on a liquid diet only). I can make it a few more days!!!

Family Fun in Fredericksburg
So, we just got back from our annual trip to Fredericksburg with the whole family. We had another wonderful, wonderful time!! We have 14 adults to the one baby, so as you can imagine, Kensington wasn't lacking for attention. The weather was gorgeous, the two houses we rented were perfect, the food was plentiful, and the poker was addicting (too bad us Shulls didn't win any money!). I just love my family so much! Love you Mom, Dad, Grandmother, Ken, Bryan, Pam, Brandon, Casey, Brooke, Austin, BB and Sean!!
On our way...in her big girl car seat
Lovin' her Papa Jay
Kensington lovesssssssssss her Aunt BB
3 Men and a Baby

These two will not take a straight picture...one of them is ALWAYS making a goofy face.

Kensington is 6 months old!!
Today our girl is 6 months old...time has flown by! To celebrate the big day, we put away her baby toys and brought out the big girl stuff. It was sad to see the swing go bye-bye, but when we assembled her Fisher-Price Learning Home, it made everything better. These big girl toys are way more fun! Thanks Aunt Vicki for the perfect gift.
Our girl is just growing like a weed. Yesterday, we bought her a big girl car seat. Yup, the infant seat is gone and the big girl seat is here. I'm actually quite excited about this because I was tired of lifting that seat in and out of the car...she makes it heavy!
Every day, she learns new things. She loves rolling around on the floor and playing with her toys. She is everywhere! She is eating fruits, veggies and oatmeal along with a few puffs here and there. Last night, Miss Whitney even gave her some watermelon and Papa Jay has been feeding her orange bits. No wonder she's growing so fast!
I can tell she is going to be a talker because she squeals and chats non-stop. I don't know where she gets that from :)? I can already tell that I love each stage of her life more than the last. She is so special, so sweet, so funny...and fussing right now, so I better go! Love you K!

Horses in the City?
Ok, so my parents live in the middle of Southlake/Colleyville in a very normal neighborhood. They are within minutes of Southlake Shopping Center (wonderful shopping), grocery stores and stuff...but when you look out their back door, it looks like they're in the middle of the country. The neighbors behind them own many, many acres (we think around 80) of undeveloped land with horses and cows. Even though I used to call this house home, it still excites me to see the horses and cows with each visit. The horses really love my mom because she feeds them well. Yesterday was my dad's birthday, and he enjoyed taking his granddaughter out for a visit.

Our Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader
So, last night was the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Friends and Family Show at Bass Hall. Of course, my crazy family all showed up to support our girl Brooke. I love, love, love this girl. She has been the perfect addition to our family. Some people might think there might not be any substance behind a cheerleader, but they would be dead wrong. These are some of the sweetest, smartest, and kindest girls I know. BB and her friends are wonderful. These friends and family shows also show off their major dance skills that the football field just can't reflect.
But the two top reasons why I love Brooke Sorenson are...
1. She loves my daughter. I mean really, seriously loves her and is an awesome Aunt BB.
2. She loves the Lord. When you meet BB, she is quick to let you know that Christ is the center of her life and the center of her relationship with Sean. She always has that Christian glow...you know...happy, positive, she's not a gossip or a drama queen...she's just sweet and loving.
We love you B! You did awesome last night!!
