Our Other Family

Andrew and the limo driver Chris and Amie

Heather and Me

Aaron and Manda

Andrew and I have another family...it's our fabulous staff! We spend 8-10 hours every day with these people, so whether they like it or not, they're family! We wanted to treat them for their very hard work so we took them by limo to dinner at Del Frisco's in Dallas. We love you Chris, Amie, Heather and Manda!! Thanks for all of your hard work!!!

A busy, busy, fun, fun weekend!!!!

On Friday, one day before she turned 2 months old, Kensington was finally able to fit into her "coming home" outfit. She left the hospital not in the outfit I brought but in a premie one my mom ran out and bought. Who knew I would have such a little girl!

My best friend Kara had a baby shower on Saturday. Her little girl Landry is due at the beginning of February. Kensington and I are very excited!!!!

Kara and Tim with their loot!

Kensington and Papa Jay on Saturday at Corner Bakery

We went to Texas de Brazil Saturday night to celebrate Uncle Sean's 25th birthday.

I'm not sure they would have picked her to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader with THAT LOOK ON HER FACE BACK THERE!

That looks more like a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader!

Our gang at Texas de Brazil

The partying continued Sunday night, when we celebrated both Sean and Brandon's birthdays by bowling. My family loves a good competition!!

We watched the Cowboy game while we bowled. Some of us even wore our Cowboy stuff to cheer them on. Since it was an away game, BB was able to bowl with us and not cheer at the game.

The losing team holding up their "loser" prize...bite sized candy bars.

It was a fun and busy weekend. My family loves to party...so we try and really maximize each birthday. I can't believe my little brother is 25. I just love him so much and am so proud of the man he's become. He is a wonderful uncle to Kensington already. And he's picked a wonderful girl to add to our family...Happy Birthday Sean!!! And Brandon who turns 23 on Friday. I love you guys!!!

When you just feel blessed...

Ask anyone in my family and they'll tell you...nothing in this world makes me happier than Christmas music. I could listen to it year around (and have been known to pop a CD in mid-July). I just love, love, love it. Well, yesterday I realized that my XM/Sirius (they've merged now) radio was playing Christmas music. So now, at home and in the car I can listen. Ask Andrew, I was so hyper because it was on that I couldn't sleep last night. I was bouncing off the walls. But this year is a million times more special because I get to share this music with my baby girl. George Strait has a new song out called "I Saw God Today". It's about seeing God in some of the simple pleasures in life. Dancing with my baby girl and husband last night to the Drifters singing "White Christmas" was a moment where I saw God. It's amazing how God can bless you with the simplist of things.

So, if you have XM tune to channel 35, if you have Sirius, it's on 81 (lucky me, I have both!) and stay tuned to 103.7 Lite FM because any day now, they start playing their Christmas music 24/7...I called the radio station yesterday and they told me so :).

Since I already celebrated Thanksgiving, I guess it's not too early to say Merry Christmas!! Enjoy the music!
